We are ending hunger through food recovery, providing respectful assistance to create and maintain lasting food security with the ultimate goal to break the cycle of poverty.

Join our mission by becoming a food donor partner today! In an effort to end hunger through food recovery, donations are collected throughout Montgomery County, MD and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and distributed directly to individuals, families, and partner organizations.
Our Programs
There are so many ways to give back, and Nourish Now has multiple programs aimed at getting food into the hands (and bellies) of families, neighborhoods, students, and more! Through our programs, viable food partners are identified, and donations of food are recovered and redistributed through our network.

We partner with caterers, grocers, restaurants, farms/markets, manufacturers, distributors, and big box stores in Montgomery County, Maryland and the DC metro region. Thanks to these and other Food Donor Partners, we are able to provide a rare and high-quality form of assistance for those in need.

Something didn’t add up — there is so much wasted food in the US, but millions of families were still going hungry. In both of these problems we saw a solution: collecting unused food and using it to feed families in need.

Since our founding in 2011, Nourish Now has donated more than 9 Million pounds of food. Through the efforts of our volunteers, donors, and community members, we are able to expand that impact more and more each year.
